Trivia: MACISTE (or as Mike and the Bots called him "My cheesesteak"wink.gif was the strongman character originating in the 1914 Italian movie Cabiria. The actor who played that role, Bartolomeo Pagano (1878-1947), adopted the name Maciste and continued using the part in films until 1928. The character was resurrected when the sword-and-sandal epic Italian movies suddenly became very popular in the late 1950's, due mostly to Steve Reeves' performance as Hercules (see 408-Hercules Unchained). Because American audiences were unfamiliar with Maciste, the title character's name was usually changed to Atlas, Colossus, Goliath, Hercules or Samson, the latter not to be confused with the Americanized Samson played by the Mexican wrestler El Santo. (What's odd in COLOSSUS AND THE HEADHUNTERS is that the dubbed English dialogue still calls the hero Maciste even though the title says otherwise; nobody calls him Colossus). No single actor played the title character either; among the group: Americans Mark Forest, Reg Lewis, Gordon Mitchell (sometimes billed as Mitchell Gordon), Kirk Morris, Gordon Scott; Alan Steel a.k.a. Sergio Ciani from Italy; Reg Park from South Africa; and Richard Lloyd (country unknown).

Here are some of the Maciste imports, renamed titles, and initials of the actor playing the hero:

"Im going to atrophy if I don't lift. Can I bench-press one of you guys?" This episode was good (not a fav, but still a worthwhile watch). The movie, however, was awful. I have never seen a "hero" of the movie do so little. He seemed to actually AVOID the action. One of the movies most deserving of the severe beating it received from Mike and the Bots.

It seems that your DVD-image/DVD-burner/DVD-player is having some problems, as I've experienced no problems like that when watching the movie.
Try burning it at a lower speed and see if that helps.

Hi! Quick question about the description:

"You will all have to download the missing 6MB, I hope you can live with it." What does this sentence mean? Is it related to the big kerfuffle about the eDonkey version, and if so, how?

I've downloaded and burned CATHH to dvd three times now, twice using the old method, and once using Bit Torrent. Each time the film seems to freeze at the same points when I'm playing it. Is this going to be fixed, or is there some way around this problem?

(If this has already been addressed elsewhere, forgive me, Mycheesesteak!)
