Corral with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas; 1960's Heller in Pink Tights starring Sophia Loren and Anthony Quinn; and 1971's Going Home with Robert Mitchum.

X MARKS THE SPOT was the first short riffed by MST3K, which came from the vast collection of film archivist RICK PRELINGER, born in 1953. If Prelinger had not been on a mission to save these corporate, governmental and educational films (25,000 saved of the 600,000 made from the 1930's through the 1960's), they probably would have been lost forever. Even more than Hollywood's feature films, these short films document the mores and living habits American society as well as corporate viewpoints. Older Americans remember seeing some of these shorts in movie theaters prior to a double feature, and most Baby Boomers saw some of these shorts in school. You can learn about these shorts through his first CD-ROM, "Ephemeral Films 1931-1960," and his subsequent twelve CD-ROM set entitled "Our Secret Century."

Awesome! very awesome. Great to see another new MST3K DAP-DVD release, and if i'm not mistaken the first Wildcelt DAP-DVD since last July. Wildcelt you rule!

Its so cool to see this many encoders releasing at such a fast rate, keeps me faithful between DAP & Shout, that we could have all non-KTMA episodes archived on DVD by the end of the decade smile1.gif
