Trivia: Born in 1940, character actor THOM CHRISTOPHER has had no trouble finding work. Off-and-on during the 1990's on the soap opera "One Life to Live," he's played the dastardly Carlo Hesser (with toupee) and occasionally the nerdy Mortimer Bern (without toupee). He won a Daytime Emmy in 1992 and was nominated again the following year.
Most sci-fi fans recognize Christopher for his role of Hawk on the TV series "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century," in which he got to wear feathers on his dome! Talk about versatility!
Besides a some guest-starring roles on other TV series, Thom Christopher has done a few movies (mostly cheesy sci-fi) including: 1979's Firepower starring Sophia Loren, James Coburn, and O.J. Simpson; 1980's S*H*E starring Omar Shariff and Anita Ekberg; 1983's Space Raiders with Vince Edwards; 1985's Wizards of the Lost Kingdom with Bo Svenson; 1988's Andy Colby's Incredible Adventure; 1990's Street Hunter with Reb Brown; 1997's Blood and Wine starring Jack Nicholson and Michael Caine; and 1999's Butterfly Legend.
