Trivia: TOMOYUKI TANAKA (1911-1997) was one of Japan's most important movie producers and was chairman of Toho Studios, where among some 200 films, he produced 22 Godzilla movies including 213-Godzilla Vs. the Sea Monster. In addition to the cheesy sfx movies like H-Man and The Mysterians, Tanaka produced some A-titles with Oscar winning director Akira Kurosawa.
In 1996, GODZILLA won a lifetime achievement award at the MTV Movie Awards.
